It’s beautiful here isn’t it?
I rely mostly on natural light because I love how it allows spontaneity and ease. I studied photography with Charles Rumph at the Smithsonian in Washington DC and at the Cleveland Institute of Art’s program in Lacoste, France. My work is also informed by my job as a journalist — that and my preference for ambient light make for a documentary style, and the kind of authenticity you see in photographs from the film-camera days. Above all, you see there’s always a story to tell, even in a headshot.
